Well done!!!! I really liked the animation Esn, and the music suited really well. It felt really handmade, the colors and lighting were outstanding. I really lik ethe cat.
Did you handpaint any of this or is it all digital?
Who takes the biscuit in the end, is it Santa?
Again, well done!

Thank you... It was all painted in ArtRage with a PF1209-PRO tablet; nothing was handmade. But ArtRage is good at making things look like they're handmade... Regarding the story, I'll just copy a few of my replies to some of the Newgrounds reviews... first, here's a nice plot summary by Doodleses: "the little boy has a wondrous dream of riding on a magic sleigh but all goes hectic when he doubts that Santa exists; only a personal visitation from Santa Claus assures him that he exists." My comment: "Well, you got the story. You perhaps missed a somewhat subtle element; the person who visited him at the end is not necessarily Santa, but is definitely someone dressed in Santa's costume. Perhaps it is Santa, or perhaps his father. There is no fantasy in real life, unless the imagination makes it; sometimes a glimpse is just as powerful." Or if that's still unclear, here's a scene-by-scene summary: The first part is in the description: "It is about a young boy who dreams of journeying in Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve." Then: As he's marveling at the sights (in his dream), Santa's hat is blown off by the wind and lands near him. So the boy turns around to give it back to Santa and gets a good look at him for the first time, only to see Santa's beard also blown off by the wind, and Santa revealed to be a lifeless straw scarecrow with button eyes. At this point, the dream turns into a nightmare and the reindeer fly off, leaving the sleigh to fall to the ground. Then (back in the real world), a shadow falls over the sleeping boy, a hand with a Santa-like sleeve pulls up his blanket, gently pats his hair, and then leaves. The boy wakes up and sits up, only to see a departing shadow at his door. The cat on the couch turns its ears at the sound of footsteps, but doesn't open its eyes. Then we see the presents left under the tree, and the hand that may belong to Santa takes a cookie from the table that was left for him.The biggest critiques I got so far are that it is too dark and that the scenes go by too quickly.

I quite like it, and thanks for poitning me to artrage, i will try it out. A bit constructive criticism; i dont think its to dark per se, but more a matter of fitting all scenes together, some look a bit out of place in comparison to others, so it might look dark. I really like the look over the trees to the moon bit at 54s (video) Quite nice feel and style to it, very well done mate!
