I created a username just to say you did a great job with Nim's Winter Tale. It was a very awesome flash and it had great animation. It was very inspiring and I felt myself wanting to start up my own writing again. Thanks a lot and I wish you good luck with your project. I hope you can finish it.

I agree. I might criticize Ola for some of his character designs, but I watched Nim's Winter Tale again today and was simply mesmerized by it; I think I saw what Ola intended it to be, and though the execution was not perfect the ideas behind it all were beautiful; just for a while, we get a glimpse at a hidden, beautiful world. I could tell that Ola loves nature just as I do for only from such deep appreciation of it could anybody emulate the feelings that you get when alone in the winter woods so expertly in an animation. I really do get chills watching it; the background noises were perfectly chosen, and the hills full of snow-laden trees were a pure joy to experience. Ola, if you ever finish Nim's Journey, I think you should get the film shown in Russia somehow. Art houses, whatever. Russians spend a lot more time outside than most westerners (even in Toronto, almost half of the people who use the public parks are Russians even though they make up less than 1% of the population), and I think your films would get a very warm reception. By contrast, I'm not sure many North Americans will really understand it... Canada's increasingly becoming an urban country, with more than half of our population living in the five major cities (and not just that, but the majority of people seem to prefer to spend their weekends shopping, if you can believe that), while the USA audiences are becoming increasingly suspicious of all things foreign. And neither the USA nor Canada have a folklore tradition... you've seen some of the confused comments from Newgrounds I'm sure. A lot of people will still love it even here, of course, but I do think that you should keep open other options besides the most obvious ones. The Asian countries might be a good bet also, because animation is so prevalent in the culture there already and something as wonderfull as your work would surely get noticed.
