i'm also trying to animate in flash and swift 3d, but even the worst movie on the net is much better than my work. i'm also trying to get photo shop. by the way, you've got very nice flash.

Wow, that's very good... and a little freaky. I love the colors and the look of the eyes. You should post it in your message though because you may change your sig at some point in the future and then nobody'll be able to see it. Where did you get the original photos?

Good idea, although there is apparently no way to disable signatures on this board, so you'll see it twice...but yeh, just did a new one tonite as well that I'll put up. As for the pictures, I have a massive collection of art I find on the web, and I just take bits and peices of em, and make new pictures...

Here's something I drew recently (another change of style for me... can you tell where this one came from? ): I'm really going to have to learn to use Photoshop one day (the colouring was done in Paint, as you can probably tell).

Wow, that's very nice. I can't even draw a smiley face with a mouse.

i've played with photoshop in the past, but nothing really 'serious.' edit jobs here and there, blah blah blah blah..... ...anyways, i read ola's tutorial about how he makes his backgrounds and thought i would give 'fine' digital art a shot. this is what i came up with...not to bad for a first attempt, i say: i11.photobucket.com/albums/a153/cHeeZe_kAKe/hotshotsbasketball.jpgthe title of this piece is 'i always wanted hotshots basketball as a kid' (dont ask me why... its just my sick sense of humor) i used pretty much the same process as ola, but i dont have the convenience of a tablet so i had to use a mouse. took me about four days. how much was your tablet btw? it would probably be a worthwhile envestment for me... anyways, check it out and tell me what you think.

Whoa... that's awesome. I've got to try learning photoshop next year. I wonder if you could use photoshop to create a painted animation (like The Old Man and the Sea) - one frame at a time, change it slightly... Alexander Petrov uses his fingers when he animates using oil paints, so perhaps photoshop or another painting program can be used to do something similar?

yea, that's possible, but it would take a d*ck-year. ;D i dont know if i have the patience for something like that. depending on detail, how fast you work, and frame rate it could take you over a month to do ten minutes. i cant even stand to make a 30 sec animation frame by frame.

10 minutes in a month? I'd consider that lightning-fast. It's taking me several months to do 2.5 minutes (granted, I've had other things to do as well... if this was a full-time job, it would be a lot quicker).

I think with photoshop you could do an nice frame by frame animation, if you plan it out nice and used it well it could be faster then one might think, but still, it would take alot time. But its mainly for photo editing, digital effects and this stuff, you can paint with it, but its not really build for that (works fine though) And maybe theres better and easyer to use stuff for frame by frame animation?
