That's because it's hardly noticeable. I just tend to notice these things because I've learned that if you want to draw well you have to think of whatever it is you're drawing in 3-D, and if you don't think well in 3D your drawings will look distorted. ie., in hindsight I notice that the nose in my own picture that I posted in my last message sticks out to the left a little too much. There are always these little deficiencies, but one must try to notice them and attempt to correct them, whereupon you then find even smaller deficiencies. Such is the unattainable road to perfection.

Legs are turned that way, body this way... I can hardly notice that myself! I said, I can't draw. I can't depict anything as a 3-dimensional object as long as it doesn't consist of cubes. So you may say that I'd better never again come up with my pictures - and I'm not going to, because this is one of the best of mine, of those which bear a mark of plot - but as for this particular one, you should be glad the man is not my typical "stick figure" ;D (that's how I generally draw people, providing a huge scene and forcing them deep into it, so that the details needn't be seen and stickies look all right). Actually, I was plainly afraid that I would be banned from such a forum if I said that I had never drawn anything in my life ;D So, from now on, I'm going only to behold the others' works. As long as those are not texts, where I may again try to break in You should try, i think your one was good, because it had somthing to say, wich is alot in itself. So just go ahead and post, hear the advise, laugh a bit with us, and have fun as Mizz said. i am not good at flash, still i posted my first attempt anyway, and at least it looked a bit funny, so it had a point... It took me months to learn a bit of photoshop, and even longer to learn how to use a pencil and do some black/white drawings. It takes time, it isnt easy and nobody will laugh at you beacause you try it and show it. So heres a little thing i did with my new wacom tablett: img.photobucket.com/albums/v161/spamheinz/Fisrttablettree.jpgLooks like a kiddy drawing eh? ;D

1. Well, then maybe later I'll try to draw something... Though it has always been difficult for me to sit months learning some skill. I mean, I've never aspired to be a professional artist or something like that, so I took my (pathetic) drawing skills for granted and the only training I had were occasional copybook drawings made usually during lessons and lectures. And it's not that I'm up to change my mind and take up thorough studying the subject. Thanks for the support, however, everyone, this way I really may think of drawing yet something on a clean blank sheet of paper ;D Actually, I often have ideas of pictures, but realizing that I lack skills and generally can't force myself to spend more than an hour drawing anything (the rule applies to the provided picture), I just leave those ideas alone...
2. Mario, Your last picture didn't work Everyone, would it be a problem to leave nice links (leading right to pictures instead of prompt questions) in place of actual pictures? I don't know if everyone else have blazing internet channels, but I think some pages of this thread may eventually become a small trouble to load... Especially when you're up to watch one single picture - and forgot even the page where it was posted...

Or you could do what I did and use imageshack.com; they let you have a mini-image that links to the full image on their website. You don't have to register with them to upload your image; it's very easy and completely free, and it makes it easier for people on the thread if they see mini-versions of images. Anyway, Mario, that's a very nice picture! I don't know how Wacom tablets work, so I'm assuming you used some special functions/line thickness variations to create that? And Roamer, don't worry about studying too much; just doodle and you'll get better. I used to have a sketchbook but nowadays most of the stuff that I draw is just done spur-of-the-moment on a random piece of paper, when I'm bored in class. Like those last two I submitted. After a while things that were laborious to draw at first become second nature, and you'll suddenly find that things that were so hard to draw that you never even tried before suddenly aren't so hard anymore. Right now I'm good at human faces (although lips are harder) but I find human bodies and animals harder to draw... you may notice I haven't submitted any yet.

I just try around, i am not really happy yet with it, i have to find a way to use the wacom properly.
Its basicly a tablet where you draw on wich registers the pressure, wich then can be used to change alot options in a paint program, a bit like drawing, but with digital options and possibilities.

Well this is one of my first attempts at photoshop. >.< It's a sketch of tom fulp (if you do't know who that is, he owns newgrounds.com). This is like....the first stage. I'm thinking of making a small cartoon with him, so I've started drawing him. So tell me what you think....any help is appreciated. (Like how to make the image less pixelated, ((I did try the resolution..)), and how I can make more interesting backgrounds.) I'll add shading, highlights and all the extra's when it's complete. img138.echo.cx/my.php?image=fpp2zs.jpg

Ark, why all of you wouldn't leave poor old Mr. Fulp alone? ;D He's already overcartooned, oversketched and overlaughed at. I understand that making fun of TomFulp is one of the most safe and sure themes for NG, but while this guy still looks as much of Fulp as of anyone else, why don't you come up with a more daring and original idea? Mario, now that I've seen the work... There's something in it already, true. So go on. Looks like tabletts and other pills ;D open new spaces for creativity. Carmelhadinosaur, well, who could doubt your skills? Esn,.. *gone doodling. Will be back in a few weeks*

Yar...I know that whole mocking tom thing is over done, but I swear I'm not aiming to make fun ov' him! You mentioned safe theme...I'm not really trying this because I want a guranteed spot in the portal, (I'm not gonna spend 2 days on a animation. It's something I've had planned for a while. I'm actually working through a original submission of my own at the moment, the tom fulp thing is just a side-project. XD

Ark, don't take it all too personal. I was mostly joking. Probably it sounded a bit rough due to lots of TomFulps appearing on NG recently, but far be it from me to question your ability - and will - to produce an original piece of art. So waiting for you to complete your projects. Apologies, if needed.
